Procedure Detail: This 62 year old female presented in consultation for evaluation of loosened facial and neck skin. During the consultation, the patient expressed concern with jowl formation, loose skin of the neck/face, and loss of the youthful neck and jawline contours. In order to achieve a more youthful neck and jawline as well as provide a natural result, Dr. Batniji performed the following:

– Neck liposuction
– Necklift
– Facelift. During this procedure, Dr. Batniji elevated and re-suspended the tougher fibrous layer beneath the skin of the face and neck (called the superficial muscular aponeurotic system or SMAS) to provide a lasting, natural result.

As well, the patient underwent the following procedures:

– Fractionated laser resurfacing of the facial skin

Dr. Batniji performed the following: – Laser skin resurfacing of the entire face to address fine lines/wrinkles and sun-damaged skin. Dr. Batniji used the DEKA fractionated CO2 laser, which is a fractionated laser. Laser skin resurfacing with fractionated lasers can be performed in the office.

Dr. Batniji performed the following: – Laser skin resurfacing of the entire face to address fine lines/wrinkles and sun-damaged skin. Dr. Batniji used the DEKA fractionated CO2 laser, which is a fractionated laser. Laser skin resurfacing with fractionated lasers can be performed in the office.

Procedure Detail: This 54 year old female presented for evaluation of sun-damaged skin to the face. Dr. Batniji performed the following:

Laser skin resurfacing of the entire face to address fine lines/wrinkles and sun-damaged skin. Dr. Batniji used the Sciton laser, which is a fractionated laser. With this system, he performed 3 different laser treatments in one to address not only the fine lines and wrinkles, but also treat pigmentation of the skin. These treatments include: broadband light, microlaser peel, and profractional laser treatments.

Laser skin resurfacing with fractionated lasers can be performed in the office. It can be performed at the same time as other facial surgery, including facelift. For example, this patient underwent the following procedures at the same time as her laser resurfacing:

Facelift with necklift.
Endoscopic brow lift.
Upper blepharoplasty.
