Is ethnic rhinoplasty a specialty like revision rhinoplasty is?

In ethnic rhinoplasty, the patient and the surgeon discuss the patient’s desires in the context of their ethnicity. Sometimes, ethnic and revision rhinoplasty blend together. For example, a Middle Eastern patient may have had rhinoplasty performed in the past with resultant nasal obstruction and an “overdone” appearance…scooped out bridge and over-turned nasal tip with sharp edges to the nasal tip. This type of patient typically requests a revision procedure to achieve a nose that works (improve nasal obstruction) and achieve a more natural result that is in harmony with the ethnicity.
