Juvederm injection for hollow temple
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring complex sugar which contributes to the moisture and elasticity in the skin. As we age, our natural hyaluronic acid diminishes. Juvederm can restore this lost hyaluronic acid, hydrating the skin and restoring volume and structure. This is an excellent treatment for plumping facial lines, wrinkles and deep folds, enhancing and augmenting the lips, reducing smile lines and shaping facial contours.
Thank you so much for making my daughter even more beautiful. You are such a wonderful doctor and I am so glad we found you.

Understanding Treatment
A consultation with Dr. Batniji at his Newport Beach practice will determine whether or not you are a good candidate for treatment with Juvederm or if other procedures may better help you meet your aesthetic goals. Patients with a history of facial cold sores may be at an increased risk of recurrence due to needle punctures; however, medications can be taken to help minimize recurrence. Patients should avoid taking high doses of Vitamin E, aspirin, St. John’s Wort, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications for at least one week prior to injection as these medications may increase the risk of bleeding and bruising.
During treatment, Dr. Batniji uses a fine needle to inject the solution beneath the skin. To maximize the patient’s comfort, the treatment area may be anesthetized prior to injection. Swelling, redness, discomfort and slight bruising may occur at the injection site following treatment. These side effects are typically short lived and subside within forty-eight hours. The wrinkle smoothing effect typically lasts six to nine months.
This is a highly complex and variable area to treat. The purpose of using hyaluronic acid filler is to soften under eye hollows, with the goal being not to completely eliminate it. The reason being that if the hollow is treated to 100% correction, the day that someone experiences generalized swelling whether it’s from salty food, allergies or crying, the filler placed under the eyes will bind more water and make the under eyes look extra puffy. Other common complaints for the area include the fine lines and wrinkles under the eyes which not typically injected with filler but are best treated with radio frequency, medical grade skin care and microneedling. Patients with larger fat pads or “fullness” under the eyes are not the ideal candidate for filler but rather should consult with a plastic surgeon to discuss whether or not they are a good candidate for blepharoplasty.
